Sam Chebib has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nexia Health since the company started in 2002.
Prior to founding Nexia, Sam was the President and Chief Operating Officer, from April 2000 to September 2001, of MedcomSoft Inc., a public healthcare information company listed on TSX specializing in physician practice management systems for the Canadian, United States and Australian markets. Sam held a number of positions between 1988 and April 2000 with Toromont Industries Ltd., a public company listed on TSX specializing in construction equipment, energy and industrial equipment.
His last position with Toromont Industries Ltd. was as Vice-President & General Manager of Energy Toromont, a division of Toromont Industries Ltd. from January 1996 to April 2000. In 1996 he was instrumental in the acquisition of the medical and dental assets of Medifirst, a private healthcare delivery company, as part of a family business. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and became a professional engineer in Ontario in 1992.
Nick Clemenzi, CPA, CA, has been Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Nexia Health Technologies Inc. since September 29, 2016.
Over his career, Nick has held various leadership roles where he has demonstrated leadership in driving strategic planning and providing risk insight to management within both publicly listed and private company settings. He has led business process improvements and finance-related compliance programs to meet all fiduciary, statutory and financial reporting requirements. Nick has also led a variety of business acquisitions as well as secured various forms of debt and equity financings.
Nick is the Founder and a Principal at Innov8ive Management Advisory and has provided financial executive level advisory services to management of several private and public companies requiring interim and/or full time executive financial leadership since January 2009. Under Innovative Management Advisory, Nick served initially as a Financial Consultant to Coreworx Inc., a developer of project information and cost control software and service solutions for large capital projects sold globally starting from January 2009, then became their full time Chief Financial Officer in August 2009 through to September 2013. During his four years at Coreworx, Nick helped the company grow from a start-up development company through to profitable operations after co-leading a management buyout of the company from its Nasdaq-listed parent company in December 2010.
He also served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of MedcomSoft Inc. a developer of electronic health record and practise management software solutions over a period from November 2000 through January 2009, as well as holding several positions with Toromont Industries Ltd. - as Controller of Toromont Energy Services and Toromont CAT Power Systems, divisions of Toromont Industries Ltd., and as Controller of Toromont Energy Ltd. from February 1995 through November 2000. Nick began his career with Deloitte & Touche, LLP where he spent more than five years delivering audit and business advisory services to a diverse group of public and private multinational clients with businesses spanning various industry sectors from September 1989 through February 1995.
Nick is a CPA, CA and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
James founded Persatt Systems Inc. in Toronto in 2000. The focus of Persatt Systems is to provide organization and planning services to companies to achieve their corporate development and business development objectives. Persatt helps organizations to develop their Leadership Teams to have a culture of execution.
James joined newterra in 2000 as an investor and Board Member. He currently fills the role of Corporate Secretary for newterra, Chair of the Board Compensation Committee, and Chair of the Board Audit Committee. James is also a member of the Advisory Board of Commerx Corporation in Calgary Alberta; a member of the Advisory Board of Maratek Environmental in Bolton Ontario; a member of the Advisory Board of Dynac Systems in Kitchener Ontario; and the Leadership Consultant for Cetaris in Toronto.
James was an early member of the Firepond senior management team in Mankato, Minnesota. In ten years with Firepond, he held positions as Senior VP of Sales, President of International, and Board Member. In this time period, Firepond grew to $50M in sales and 400 personnel. James was directly responsible for sales, marketing, and professional services; as well as international operations in Europe and Japan/Korea. James began his career with Caterpillar Inc. In the twelve years with Caterpillar, James moved through positions in Management Training (Peoria), Application Engineering (Geneva), Dealer Sales Management (Johannesburg), and Marketing Systems Development (Peoria). In this last position, he gained systems experience by leading the team that developed and implemented Caterpillar’s first PC based sales and marketing applications.
Azmin Daya, FCCA, MSM, CPA, CMA is an experienced executive, board advisor and member with numerous years of C-suite experience, as CEO, COO and CFO of various financial service entities.
More recently, Azmin has been operating as a management consultant providing advice on strategic planning, use of Balanced Score Cards, financial management, processes and procedures review and re-engineering.
Prior to being a consultant, he was instrumental in setting up a publicly traded insurance company in the Middle East, from scratch. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant from the UK, a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants Association of the UK, a Certified Management Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada and holds a Master of Science degree in Management from Boston University.
